Community Meeting: Sustainability

Sustainability: it's a word we hear a lot, and it seems extra important in Miami these days. But as a designer, technologist, or entrepreneur, do you know how to incorporate sustainable practices in your work? Sustainability goes far beyond recycling and compostable forks – come hear a group of sustainability experts talk about work and projects that will fascinate, surprise, and inspire you.

You’ll hear from Arlyn Hernandez (SAUSHI), David Rifkind (Interim Chair, Landscape Architecture + Environmental and Urban Design; College of Communication, Architecture + the Arts, Florida International University), Virginie Fallon Romier (Sea Jasper), Pamela Wasabi (PamelaWasabi.com) and Abbey Melsheimer (The Foundry of Creative Affairs) – they’ll discuss sustainability principles, zero-impact architecture, sustainability in fashion, plant based eating, and sustainable packaging design.

AIGA Miami is launching a series of events called Community Meeting – each quarter this year, we’re inviting everyone in the community, designers and beyond, to join us for a conversation about a few topics that are relevant to the city and our world. We’re hosting this series in partnership with Venture Cafe, as part of their Thursday evening lineup.

Thank you to volunteer Tania Maria for designing graphics for our Community Meeting.
