Organization Overview: AIGA Miami is a chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, advancing design as a professional craft, strategic advantage, and vital cultural force. We bring together practitioners, enthusiasts, and patrons to amplify the voice of design and create a vision for a collective future. As the largest community of design advocates, AIGA Miami is dedicated to defining global standards and ethical practices, guiding design education, enhancing professional development, and making powerful tools and resources accessible to all.

Position Summary: The Vice President of AIGA Miami will play a critical leadership role within the chapter, supporting the President and collaborating with board members to achieve organizational goals. The VP will help guide the chapter’s strategic direction, oversee key initiatives, and ensure the effective execution of programs that advance the design profession in Miami.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Assist the President in setting and executing the chapter’s strategic direction and goals.
• Program Oversight: Oversee the development and implementation of programs and events that align with AIGA Miami’s mission and objectives.
• Board Collaboration: Work closely with the board of directors to support various committees, including Membership, Education, Events, and Advocacy.
• Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with local design communities, educational institutions, and industry partners to promote AIGA Miami’s initiatives.
• Fundraising and Sponsorships: Assist in identifying and securing financial resources and sponsorships to support chapter activities.
• Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication with members, stakeholders, and the broader community about AIGA Miami’s goals, events, and accomplishments.
• Succession Planning: Develop and mentor future leaders within the organization to ensure long-term sustainability and continuity.
