We're partnering with local design studios to give students and recent graduates an exclusive taste of the "real world" in the design industry! Join us to pick the brains of the pros and take advantage of an invaluable opportunity to see some of the coolest spaces in South Florida—many of which are rarely opened to the public.
For our second tour this year, AIGA Miami heads to Jacober Creative, a design and marketing firm located on Miami Beach’s iconic Lincoln Road.
The Studio Tour is open to both students and professional designers who have graduated in the last two years. Due to the popularity of these events, we require advance registration. The cost is $5 for AIGA Members and $10 for non-members. Studio Tours sell out lightning fast, so get your tickets today!
The tour will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 - 3:00-5:00 p.m. (arrive 10 minutes before)
We are meeting at:
Jacober Creative
690 Lincoln Road, Suite 201
Miami Beach
A big thank you Jacober Creative for opening up their space.
Return policy: We do not offer refunds on tickets purchases. Questions? education@miami.aiga.org
ABOUT THE STUDIO:
"Making life a little more beautiful one pixel at a time, we elevate brands with great ideas."
— Jacober Creative
Jacober Creative is a design and marketing firm based in Miami Beach. We take design seriously (but not ourselves). We produced IRL(In Reel Life): From Celluloid to Cellular, Recasting Classic Films through Graphic Design, the Miami New Times pick for one of the five Art Basel events not to miss in 2017.
We also authored last year’s coloring book for grownups, High Tides: Tales of Mermaids, Mayhem & Miami Beach, a whimsical approach to South Beach and climate change.
Clients we’ve left our magic touch on include The Town of Surfside, Jugofresh, Venus Williams, Peloton, and the Frost Museum of Science. Our studio was founded on and continues to work with many arts organizations and non-profits. Jacober Creative has taken home awards from the Arango Design Foundation, DCOTA (Design Center of the Americas), Visit Florida, as well as Neenah Papers.
We love to explore the benefits of circles vs. triangles, and Helvetica vs. Futura, and we’re possibly the coolest design team you’ll ever meet...
Thank you to Elina Diaz for the very stylish graphics for this event series.
