We invite you to participate in our open call for nominations for the 2019–2020 AIGA Miami Board.

Deadline for nominations: Sunday, June 30, 2019

What’s Involved?

Commitment: We’re looking for community members who can commit to a two-year agreement to lead and serve the AIGA Miami design community through volunteering time in support of chapter initiatives. A board position is an extremely rewarding experience, but it can also be demanding—commitment to AIGA necessitates hard work and dedication of time.

Leadership: In this role, you will be trusted to be a face and voice of the design community in South Florida through your leadership service. This involves leading a committee of AIGA volunteers, attending events, greeting members, recruiting future members, meeting with partners, networking, and always advocating for the value of AIGA.

Why Serve?
Being a board member is more than responsibility and something productive to do in your spare time—it’s a promise to the design community in South Florida. By serving, you are dedicating your time to ensure that design continues to grow, adapt, thrive and improve in our city. You share the desire to bring new initiatives, speakers, designers, and inspiration to our membership.

And what do you get in return? It’s that feeling after a successful event, making a rewarding connection, or nerding out with some fellow designers: the positive rush of giving back, of volunteerism, of advocacy, and of fostering the next generation of creatives, entrepreneurs, and social thinkers. We are here to create a community for designers, illustrators, developers, photographers, project managers, writers, design enthusiasts, and the like, and we’re looking for others with this same mission in mind.

All nominees will be contacted for more information.
