The Wolfsonian-FIU Private Salon: AIGA Centennial Celebration

In 2014, AIGA turns 100! Established in 1914 as an institute dedicated to the graphic arts, AIGA’s focus and reach have continually expanded. From 40 founders to 25,000 members and from a New York club to a nationwide network, what began as the old guard of a new profession has become a rich and active community embracing diverse and rapidly changing expressions of design.

Join us in taking a look back in time at the year 1914 as The Wolfsonian-FIU master librarian selects hidden gems from the museum's collection. See the original work of the constructivist masters, typography that can only be found in the history books and the listen to the insightful knowledge that the Wolfsonian curators bring to this unique event.  All participants will meet after the viewing and gallery tour to network, chat about the rich collections, and have a drink in a private location at the museum!
